Szervezői sörözés

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

A nyári lazulás után itt volt az ideje, hogy újra leüljünk a többi szervezővel, és kitaláljuk mit lehet javítani a meetup szervezésen. A Bambi kávézó ideális hely a gondolkozásra vágyó tömegeknek, most is sok ötletet sikerült communicatorra vetni.

New Lotus Symphony based on Open Office, supports ODF

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

The new Symphony, based on Open Office, is yet another product to support Open Document Format (ODF), the ISO standard for universal document interchange. There are about 135 million Lotus Notes users, and they will also receive Symphony free. IBM support will be available for a fee. Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Surrounded by buzzing robots that end the session by performing in an orchestra, James McLurkin, a PhD student at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, talks about distributed robotics and swarm behavior to a packed house. Thursday, September 6th, 2007

Popular social networking site Facebook has added a public-facing search function in a move which is likely to anger privacy advocates. The function will initially allow anyone who is not registered with the site to search for a specific person.

More controversially, in a month’s time, the feature will also allow people to track down Facebook members via search engines such as Google.

The firm said that the information being revealed is minimal.
